A Dead Leaf

Leave life to God and let him lead the way,

Live loving her and go on giving to die and pay;

A dead leaf drops from the tree at any time of day,

And God will hit you on the head with it like a light ray.

.

He wants you to see where you're going and he leads the way,

So when a dead leaf drops in front of you ask God why did he pay;

For life is quite abundantly and trees want all day,

But God is watching patiently and will remind you with a sun ray.

.

The leaf that fell from the tree had dies and dropped away,

And gravity pulled it to the ground or the wind blew to pay;

But God's aware which way it goes at the end of every day,

And he will show you how to care and teach you how to pray.

.

A dead life is quite a blessing because it grows and goes away,

It takes a long time to drop but a good life is quick to pay;

A good time is fun to have but a dead leaf drops all day,

When the whether is grey, the weather is like a dead leaf you pray.

.

Now if the sun hits a dead leaf as it drops with light a way,

You see the twinkling glisten of the glare on a dead leaf pay;

And when you know a dead leaf drops you take a breath all day,

For death is like a dead leaf dropping and life is like a ray.

.

So the light goes on along the path and the light will light the way,

And the trouble with a dead leaf is that it doesn't really say;

But God will light the way when a lead leaf drops during day,

And I will live a long time if a dead leaf is a lonely grey.

.
