What can we say that hasn't been said,
So many people that talk about things that are dead;
And what of the days when people passed by,
Are we lost in the clouds or sleep then we die.
And what can be said about time and about money,
Are the shops all so empty or full just of honey;
And what about the hours that pass and tick away,
Are we really better off at the end of the day.
Or I suppose there's something that you want to say,
That in the course of time and as the day goes away;
But worry not how or why things all just work out,
Just remember the people because the lord will not doubt.
And if you by chance have something left to say,
Don't worry yourself because it won't go astray;
But do what I do when I'm weary and tired,
I look to the heavens to see what God acquired and desired.
Well what indeed can be said, that hasn't been said,
It's 10 past 2 in the morning and I should be in bed;
But I couldn't sleep even after three sleeping pills,
So I hope that this verse will help pay my bills.
I'm not really worried because cash can be found,
And when there is money there's always a sound;
So now you people who are too dumb to talk,
Go find a partner and enjoy going for a walk.
