Heaven and Earth

You can't have one without the other I said,

You can't worship God and have the money head;

You must choose life or death first to live,

You can't have heaven and earth but must give.

.

I'd love a thing or two but there's a price and a cost,

I'd love eternal life but there's redeeming and saving the lost;

I'd love a figure in the bank account of my name,

I'd love to but that keeps changing and turning as a game.

.

I'd love notoriety and be famous for all of the time,

I'd love the companionship of a wife while in my prime;

I'd love a family and the passion of romance falling in love,

I'd love Heaven and earth but must look to God above.

.

You can't have Heaven and earth in one lifetime,

You must choose one and have the saved line rhyme;

You can't have Heaven and earth God said,

You must choose life not to end up in hell and dead.

.

Heavens up above and the earth is down below,

The sky lights up at night and the day a blue glow;

Clouds move and meander in their own heavenly way,

While the things of the earth to the devil we must pay.

.

Heavens a place to go when you die eternally to life,

Hells like the centre of the sun or earth putting you in strife;

Heavens peace of mind by doing what's right and not wrong,

Earths all the work and what word you can live long.

.

Signed,

The World on or beyond.
