The greatness of the lord is always there when we need,
When he as him is the word of eternal life to look to lead;
As time catches up with us for all the things we did wrong,
His forgiveness, love and strength to return us to where we belong.
The greatness of the lord reaches down to the destitute and out,
And is completely respectful in believing and something never to doubt;
It surpasses understanding and offer wisdom to those too poor,
It dwells in the highest heavens and when the clouds in the sky pour.
It is beyond the realms of magic and does miracles for free,
It hopes and copes and listens for a better way in life to appear;
It never hates or comprehends the possibility of being wrong,
It is more beautiful to listen to than the sweetest singing song.
It goes beyond all else and tries to achieve the perfect right,
It guides us to eternity and the truth of brilliant light;
It suggests the ideology of perfection in homes paradise,
It reflects creativity and leads wonders of the skies perplexity.
It looks to God and knows the greatness of the lord,
That he himself would talk to us and in a living word;
The greatness of the lord is lovely enough to go beyond compare,
It is the voice of God in heaven in loving words of prayer.
The greatness of the lord is more melodious than words,
It is the soft and gentle wonderment of the singing of the birds;
The greatness of the lord is omnipotent and completely worth,
The greatness of the lord is greater than the whole wide earth.
