Billion

A billion birds and Bibles all around the world,

A billion eyes all picking the I's out of the words;

A billion dollars for a ship or planes or a building,

A billion people wanting money for their business.

.

A billion cars on the road all being driven around,

A billion in gold bars bullion dug from underground;

A billion kids at school, around the whole wide world,

A billion fish in the ocean all good to eat and worth.

.

A billion letters in the mail all to open and read,

A billion people loving all of which God must lead;

A billion hearts all beating living out under the sun,

A billion souls all waiting for the return of the one.

.

A billion breaths breathing in hope of things to come,

A billion with a vision for The Christ the risen son;

A billion with understanding with faith they live on,

A billion with wisdom of what will be and has shone.

.

A billion with the knowledge of things of the past,

A billion with restraint, holding on to what will last;

A billion going to heaven and a billion into hell,

A billion undecided and not either sick or well.

.

A billion for the balance and the figures to work out,

A billion in the bank that we cannot deny or doubt;

A billion in India and China and cities that add up,

A billion working for the truth and lie of the cup.

.

Signed,

A possible reality.
