A Dozen Different

A dozen different poems and poetry that rhyme,

The poet is the writer of poems and poetry in time;

A dozen different poets whose name and verse will tick,

Who each write a dozen different poems in which is best to pick.

A dozen different eggs and birds and chicks to eat,

A half a dozen people with a dozen different feet;

A dozen different people with two dozen to move a foot,

Twelve dozen different poems written sitting at your seat.

A dozen different pairs of shoes and socks and trousers,

Or shorts and sports and skirts with a dozen different blouses;

And jeans and shirts in a dozen different combinations,

In a dozen different fashion stores all in genius co-ordinations.

A dozen different partners paired up for long term marriage,

A dozen different weddings all off to church in horse and carriage;

A dozen different children all taught and learnt to read,

Who answer all the questions and ask and earn to lead.

A dozen different types of trees in time for tough trouble,

When the vegetables and fruit all begin to grow and double;

A dozen different countries all with their own currency,

In a world of constant turning with problems set to worry me.

A dozen books to read and choice of title or author,

With money and time to spend and save as someone else ought to;

When husband and wife are having the sons and daughters,

And finally a dozen different difficulties to have a drink of water.
